At GMB Financial we are financial advisers. We have a combined experience of over 40 years. We are specialists in retirement and investment planning, as well as general advice, insurance and superannuation.

But first and foremost, we are Townsville locals. We are family focused and proud fathers. We support our community with a strong involvement in Lions.  We travel, love sport and the north Queensland lifestyle.

As advisers we believe in honesty above all else. We explain our products and ideas clearly and believe in transparent easy-to-understand fees. We pride ourselves on personal service and would love to help you.

George

Born in Townsville, George and his wife Vayla have lived here their whole lives, raising their two children. He’s passionate about helping his clients, but also about the community and has been a member of the Mount Stuart Lions Club since 1992.

George is a Justice of the Peace. He’s most passionate about helping people enjoy a happy retirement where they don’t have to worry about money.

Darren

Born in Cloncurry but raised in Townsville, Darren graduated from Ignatius Park College. After a stint in the building industry, he discovered a passion for financial planning and has been working in the industry since 2009. A love for travel has resulted in many adventures with his wife Anna, and they recently welcomed a son in 2019.  Expanding their family has only increased Darren’s passion for helping his clients secure their futures with the right financial advice.

Darren has a Diploma of Financial Planning and is on the committee of the Financial Planning Association Townsville chapter. He’s passionate about educating young people on budgeting and finances, and loves helping young families set themselves up properly and achieve their financial goals.
